As the Covid-19 Pandemic continues to spread in Manitoba, many people are recognizing the vulnerabilities of our health care system, as well as their own.
For those of us that have prepared Health Care Directives, those directives may or may not reflect your wishes relating to care of your Covid-19 symptoms.
If you are concerned that you current Health Care Directives are not specific enough for your Covid-19 needs, you may wish to consider providing additional instructions to your health care proxy, or adding an addendum to your Health Care Directive.
An Addendum can compliment your existing Health Care Directive providing additional instructions regarding your care with regards to Covid-19 specifically. If you are interested in adding an Addendum to your Health Care Directive an Addendum form prepared by Solange Buisse, is available for use and download here. Everyone is encouraged to seek advice from a legal or medical profession if they intend to use it.
