OUR RESPONSIBILITY AND CONTINUED ROLE AS WE RESPOND TO COVID–19
The health and welfare of our clients, firm members and community are our foremost considerations as the global coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to unfold.
Taylor McCaffrey LLP remains open and fully functioning, with our Business Continuity Plan being engaged.
We continue to monitor the situation and are following the advice of experts at public health agencies including WHO, Public Health Agency of Canada and Manitoba Health with a view to adapting to the situation as thoughtfully, and with as little disruption, as possible.
We have taken steps to minimize the potential impact of the virus and the risk of transmission, which include:
- Implementing regular enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols throughout our office and providing alcohol-based hand sanitizers in multiple locations;
- Preparing and equipping firm members to allow them to work remotely in the event that becomes necessary;
- Limiting all non-essential business travel;
- Establishing a process to monitor personal travel of all firm members, to identify and address potential risks; and
- Postponing non-essential firm events and social activities.
We kindly ask that our clients, guests and vendors follow best practices and Provincial and federal health services advice to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of our other clients, guests, vendors, firm members and the public. In keeping with public health guidelines, we kindly request that you do not attend at our office if you are experiencing flu like symptoms, you have recently travelled to any location that has an active travel advisory related to COVID-19 or you know or suspect you have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
While we hope it will not be the case, in the event that an office closure is necessary, we want to assure you that Taylor McCaffrey LLP remains committed to being accessible and responsive.
Please continue to check our website for updates as we will continue to keep you informed of any changes we may implement as the situation unfolds. Of course, please do not hesitate to contact your lawyer(s) or other contacts within the firm if you have any comments or questions.
We hope that you and your families all remain safe and healthy as we all take steps to appropriately and thoughtfully manage through these challenging times.
