Manitoba Courts and Manitoba Labour Board Closures in Response to COVID-19

For clients who have matters scheduled at the Manitoba Courts or the Manitoba Labour Board, please note that both have closed to the public at this time, and many hearings and matters have been adjourned and cancelled. Both the Courts and the Board have also put in place for alternative measures to hold a number of matters in a conference call format, rather than in-person appearances. Despite these closures, note that all limitation periods currently still apply. It is still possible to file necessary documents, though processing delays are to be expected due to reductions in staff in an effort to ensure social distancing measures.

The Manitoba Courts are anticipating closures and other measures will be in place until April 17. The Manitoba Labour Board is anticipating closures and other measures will be in place until April 14. These measures could continue after those dates depending on the circumstances at that time.
