Black History Month is about honouring the contributions that Black Canadians have made and are making in our society. It is also about acknowledging the significant racism that continues to exist in Canada, and committing to do more to address the individual and systemic inequities they experience.
There are many opportunities to learn more and we are encouraging everyone to make this a priority.
