Allison is an Associate with Taylor McCaffrey, practicing in all areas of labour and employment law. She is a skilled advocate, with experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation. Allison’s practice has a specific focus on human rights, workplace investigations, occupational health and safety matters, and policy assessment and drafting. Allison has the designation of AWI-CH (Association of Workplace Investigators Certification Holder) and brings a trauma-informed lens to conducting workplace investigations.

Allison has dedicated a significant amount of her time, personally, academically and within her practice, as an advocate and resource builder. She has worked extensively in the areas of sexual violence prevention, gender equality, human rights, and accessibility. Allison can assist clients in navigating complex situations and legal claims from start to finish. She can also assist with preventative measures such as policy development and workplace training to avoid future conflicts and set workplaces up for success.

Allison’s clients benefit from her broad skillset, including collaboration, critical thinking, strategy development, and negotiations. She is passionate about helping her clients create safer and more equitable workplaces across all sectors and industries. Her public speaking skills and workplace safety knowledge has led to developing and delivering presentations and training sessions on OHS, human rights obligations, and respectful workplace issues.

Outside of her practice, Allison continues to give back to the community. She is currently a Co-Chair with LEAF Winnipeg, a branch of LEAF National, a federal advocacy organization that advances gender equality in the law through case intervention, law reform, and public education. Allison also enjoys curling, spending time with family, attending local festivals and productions, and volunteering with local organizations.
