Tim is a Managing Partner for Taylor McCaffrey LLP, and is a leader within our Business Law practice group. While highly experienced in all aspects of Corporate Law, he typically focuses in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, secured finance, and owner-managed business. He works closely with business owners and major financial institutions on domestic and international transactions, assisting with risk management and translating complex legal issues with an eye to practicality at all times.
Tim is renowned for his depth and breadth of knowledge and providing prompt, executive-level counsel to his clients, while keeping in mind their critical organizational goals. His skills and expertise have earned Tim recognition within his field including Best Lawyers™ Canada every year since 2009, and “Lawyer of the Year” designation in the field of Corporate Law in Manitoba in 2014 and 2023.
Tim is proud of his community service. He has been active in the Winnipeg and surrounding community throughout his career, having served on numerous boards, committees and fundraising initiatives including the Fort Whyte Foundation (past Chair), multiple United Way Winnipeg Campaign Cabinets, the Manitoba Pension Commission, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, the federal Judicial Advisory Committee, and the Downtown Business Improvement Zone.
