COVID-19 Notice: Our Firm and Office Professionals to Work Remotely

We are writing to update you on the steps our Firm is taking to ensure the well-being of our employees, clients, and our community, as the impact of COVID-19 continues to increase.
We continue to monitor updates from Manitoba Health and the Chief Public Health Officer. Recommendations from these sources and other health experts as to social distancing are being put forward as important considerations in helping slow the transmission of the virus, with what is hoped to a beneficial impact to our health services’ capacity to treat the seriously ill.
Effective March 18, 2020, we have instructed our professional and support staff to work remotely to the extent possible until further notice. We are not aware of any positive testing among Firm members or their families, but are taking this action to protect our team, and as a matter of public health, to slow the spread of disease in the community.
Throughout all of this, we expect that our regular interactions with clients will change very little. While working remotely, all of the firm’s professional staff continue to have access to email, online meeting and video conferencing solutions, phone and voicemail systems, files, and everything else needed for a seamless transition to our remote environment. We will continue to maintain a small staff complement at our office premises to ensure that physical mail, deliveries, faxes and finance matters are handled promptly and professionally.
We are committed to ensuring your needs are met, and are confident we can achieve that goal. We have the technology and processes in place to support remote working by TM team members, so that they can continue to provide clients with the highest levels of service and security. Our team is equipped for this scenario, and we do not expect any material disruption in the vital work we do for our clients.
