Taylor McCaffrey LLP Congratulates New Associates on their Call to the Bar

The partners and associates of Taylor McCaffrey LLP congratulate Erika Day and Colin Findlay on their Call to the Manitoba Bar.

Erika Day will be practising in the Labour and Employment Department and Civil Litigation. While attending the University of Manitoba, Erika made the Dean’s Honour List and received the D.A. Thompson Q.C. Prize. She graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2016 with her Juris Doctor from Robson Hall. Before law school, she studied Criminal Justice at the University of Winnipeg for three years.

Throughout her articling year, Erika raised awareness and funds for the United Way of Winnipeg, the Cerebral Palsy Association of Manitoba and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She looks forward to supporting her community in bigger and better ways in the future.

Colin Findlay will be practising in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department with a focus on financial services and restructuring, property development and real estate.  Colin obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba (2012), graduating with distinction, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria (2016) where he participated in The Law Centre clinical program providing legal services to individuals who can not afford legal representation.

Colin volunteers at the Manitoba Interfaith Immigration Council assisting refugee claimants and will soon be volunteering at the Legal Help Centre. Colin has been the MS Walk’s Top Fundraiser in Manitoba for eleven consecutive years — raising over $200,000 in total for Multiple Sclerosis research and support programs.
