Charles Roy Partner

Charles Roy is a skilled litigator who has worked at Taylor McCaffrey LLP since his summer internship in 2013. Charles obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Manitoba in 2014 and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 2015.  He practices in the areas of labour and employment, personal injury and medical malpractice, commercial litigation and bankruptcy and insolvency. Charles specializes in the area of shareholder disputes and is part of Taylor McCaffrey LLP’s Financial Services group which assists clients with various insolvency and debtor-creditor issues, including restructuring, bankruptcy, receiverships, forbearance agreements and priority disputes. Charles has experience in the Court of Queen’s Bench, the Court of Appeal, Bankruptcy Court, the Manitoba Labour Board and Labour and Commercial Arbitrations.

Charles’ goal is to provide clients with prompt, practical and effective solutions. It is important to Charles to be transparent and take a collaborative approach with clients to ensure their goals are met.

Charles is part of the Canadian Association for Counsel for Employers and sits on the Privacy Committee Executive. Charles has also been appointed as an Executive on the Insolvency Section of the Manitoba Bar Association.
