The firm has a large active practice in the field of property development. Our practice has included major projects in urban and rural centres, representing parties in conveyancing and development, and in the financing of real estate transactions. We advise on all forms of property development and ownership, including joint ventures, limited partnerships, "life leases," condominiums and syndications.

Our experience includes property development projects with major commercial and residential developers, financial institutions and all levels of government in the Province of Manitoba, as well as the Provinces of Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia. While we have not been the only counsel involved, we have also acted for Canadian developers in respect of their U.S. projects.

The Department works as a team and draws upon other departments of the firm such as the Tax and Environmental Law Departments, as required to meet the client's objectives. The Department therefore brings breadth as well as depth of experience to every development project.
