Lawrence's practice focuses on the resolution of family law disputes through negotiation, methods of alternative dispute resolution including Comprehensive Mediation and Collaborative Law and litigation. To that end, Lawrence has represented clients extensively in all Manitoba Courts. Lawrence has also occasionally lectured and written articles dealing with various issues in family law, and has acted as a certified arbitrator, a designation he recently received.

Hunter v. Hunter - Obtained an award of solicitor and own client costs against opposing counsel as well as a substantial award of support and equalization payment following a short-term marriage.
Lockwood v. Lockwood - Opposing party declared vexatious such that she may no longer apply for any relief without seeking leave of the Court.
Armstrong v. Ternan - Successfully obtained dismissal of Appeal of Motion to Vary opposing retroactive increase in spousal support.
Denesiuk v. Denesiuk - Client permitted to relocate out of the Province with children on an interim Motion.
