Darrell does a significant amount of work in the area of family property valuations, and in particular, the valuation of shares of closely held businesses and the valuations of beneficial interests under trusts following marital breakup.

Darrell has appeared frequently and regularly in both the Court of Queen's Bench at trial and in the Court of Appeal in a number of cases involving the variation of spousal support, claims for retroactive child and spousal support, declarations of paternity, claims for constructive trust, resulting trust and quantum meruit, claims for unjust enrichment, as well as custody and access disputes.

Darrell also does a substantial amount of work with separation and settlement agreements, cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements, including drafting the agreements, taking proceedings for specific performance, as well as seeking declaratory orders that the agreements may be null and void.

Darrell represents clients with respect to various civil litigation matters. These include claims for defamation, libel, slander, malicious prosecution, and false arrest, as well as claims for personal injury involving bodily injury, nervous shock, and mental suffering. Darell also represents clients with respect to corporate litigation matters involving shareholders rights and remedies, estate litigation matters involving acting for executors, trustees or beneficiaries, as well as representing clients with respect to bankruptcy matters in Bankruptcy Court.

Darrell also assists clients with the preparation of Last Wills and Testaments, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Directives.
