Darrell does a significant amount of work in the area of family property valuations, and in particular, the valuation of shares of closely held businesses and the valuations of beneficial interests under trusts following marital breakup.
Darrell has appeared frequently and regularly in both the Court of Queen's Bench at trial and in the Court of Appeal in a number cases involving the variation of spousal support, claims for retroactive child and spousal support, declarations of paternity, claims for constructive trust, resulting trust and quantum meruit, claims for unjust enrichment, as well as custody and access disputes.
Darrell also does a substantial amount of work with separation and settlement agreements, cohabitation agreements and pre-nuptial agreements, including drafting the agreements, taking proceedings for specific performance, as well as seeking declaratory orders that the agreements may be null and void.
